Trial pit observations are an essential and integral part of the soil stabilisation and contaminated land remediation process, Earth-Tech Solutions Ltd provide a service to undertake trial pit excavation and observations.
Trial pit observations are typically undertaken once knowledge of the earthworks cut and fill is gained to ensure that materials observed are relevant to the requirements of the site. All trial pit locations are logged by GPS for future reference.
Once available information has been viewed for a site - trial pit observations are essential in determining the most cost effective design to utilise on site – trial pits also highlight potential variability in materials which may require differing designs to be applied on site.
This process is undertaken in conjunction with our other service of sampling, testing and design for both modification/stabilisation of inert materials and the solidification of contaminated materials.
Earth-Tech Solutions Ltd will provide the service to excavate trial pits and remove samples, during this exercise if a full package solution is required, thought will be given to how the materials will be moved around site. Each trial pit is logged by GPS and recorded to depth and forms part of a full report to be provided on completion of any testing.
