Contaminated Land Remediation

Increasing changes in legislation dictate the requirement to remediate contaminated land either on site or prior to removal to landfill. We also liaise with the Environment Agency to ensure that permits are granted and approvals gained.

Solidification is similar to the stabilisation process, it allows materials to be mixed with specified additives to form a solid (monolithic) mass of encapsulated materials reducing the potential for leachate migration of any contamination.

This process allows land owners to develop sites which would otherwise remain undeveloped due to other costs associated with remediating contaminated land. Solidification allows significant cost savings when looking at potential development sites.
